This week, Australia has become one of the major hubs for the international marine industry thanks to the Sanctuary Cove International Boat Show, the most important event of its kind in the southern hemisphere. Among the key players at this year’s show was FPT Industrial, the Italian firm specialising in marine and industrial propulsion systems.
The brand used the event to showcase two of its flagship engines — the N67 150 and the C90 620 E — to thousands of enthusiasts and industry professionals who visited Sanctuary Cove. This was a key event for further strengthening its presence in the Asia-Pacific region, where the marine market continues to grow strongly.
With decades of experience in the marine sector, FPT Industrial has been working for years on engines capable of combining performance, reliability and efficiency. And it is precisely this combination that aroused the most interest in Australia, especially at a time when the industry is seeking more sustainable solutions without compromising on performance.

The engines in the NEF and CURSOR ranges are designed to suit a wide variety of applications: from leisure craft to workboats and commercial fishing vessels. The aim is to deliver power and instant response, whilst keeping fuel consumption low and minimising noise and vibration on board.
Another of FPT Industrial’s strengths is configuration flexibility. Its engines can be fitted to different types of vessels and are designed to handle long sailing days with maintenance intervals of up to 600 hours.
One of the key themes at the show was the brand’s commitment to renewable fuels such as HVO (Hydrotreated Vegetable Oil), an alternative capable of reducing CO2 emissions by over 90% without compromising engine performance.
The company is also working on hybrid solutions, a technology increasingly prevalent in the marine sector and set to become one of the key pillars of future navigation.
FPT Industrial’s presence at Sanctuary Cove also served to consolidate its partnership with BePower Solutions, its Australian partner, with the aim of strengthening distribution and technical support across the country.
The strategy is clear: to grow in one of the world’s most promising marine markets and position itself as a benchmark for both recreational boating and professional applications.
In a sector where efficiency, range and sustainability are increasingly setting the course, FPT Industrial aims to lead the way.
