The 2023 season of the 52 SuperSeries has come to an end. It was at the beginning of May when the circuit started and ended this weekend, after 5 events and 45 races we already know the final winner.

The 52SuperSeries has been held annually since 2012. In these more than 10 editions (in 2020 it was not done) there have been only 4 different winners: Azzurra, Quantum Racing, El Sled and this year we add the 2023 winner: Platoon.

In this last event in Puerto Portals everything was decided and it could not have been tighter. After the results Saint-Tropez, Scarlino, Menorca, Barcelona and Mallorca-Puerto Portals, the final results ended with a tie between first and second. Platoon and Provezza finished with 198 points. However, it was Phoenix who had the best result in Puerto Portals, finishing first, but was only able to climb one place in the ranking and finished in eighth position.

Platoon's best results in the Puerto Portals 52 SUPER SERIES Sailing Week gave them the trophy. The German team, Platoon, finally wins a championship after finishing second in 2017, 2018 and 2019, third in 2021 and 2022.Putting with this championship the icing on the cake to a spectacular year in which it has also been world champion of the Rolex TP52 World Championship.

We say goodbye for this year to the 52 SuperSeries circuit. It will return in 2024, with a new program of five events starting this time in April. For the next edition there will be change, the events in Italy and France are replaced by two events in the United States.
