Right after Weifang, some of the world's top riders flew to Pingtan for the 2017 IKA TwinTip World Championship, together with 2017 KiteFoil GoldCup - ACT3... and so did Kite Masters. Pingtan is the place where it all started for Kiteboarding in China. The first Kiteboarding School was established in Pingtan's sandy beach, helping develop the sport in every way. Since then, thousands of new riders have joined this exciting sport in China.
