The longest running professional windsurfing event in the world. This is the Tiree Wave Classic. Founded in 1985, it has run to the present day showcasting the best of the UK’s windsurfing talent across a number of fleets ranging from Juniors to World Cup Professional Windsurfers.

Since the very start of the event, a traditional Scottish sword known as Claymore has been the ultimate prize for the winners of both the Pro's and the Women's competitions. This year, it will be Willy of Wild Diamond Watersports who will bestow the sword upon the winner.

In its 32nd year, the event continues to showcase the best, most extreme, windsurfing seen in competition. Attracting some of the best riders in the world to make the pilgrimage to the small island located in the inner Hebrides off the Northwest coast of Scotland, this is one of the four events taht make up this year's British Wave Sailing Tour Championship.
