Wings, less consumption and a more sustainable design and materials are the trends of the nearly one hundred novelties the international marine industry will present in Barcelona.
From the 12th to the 17th of October, Port Vell in Barcelona will host the Barcelona International Boat Show of year 2021, consolidating as an international reference for the nautical industry. Also, 15 models will be competing to become the Best European Boat of the year.
Amongst the new boats we will be able to see we focus on the Italians Absolute Navetta 58 and Arcadia Sherpa 60, the German Bavaria Vida 33 and Bavaria SR 41, the French Bénéteau GT 36 HB or Bénéteau GT 41 and the Spanish Astilux Alexa 37 and Astilux 900 SD.
The Absolute Navetta 58 is a new incorporation by Absolute Yachts. If you like watching The Boat Show on Nautical Channel, you might remember the Absolute Navetta 64 from the same shipyard:
Day cruisers with open, wide terraces and platforms on the laterals that increase the space of leisure are the main trend of the biggest yacht brands this year. However, sustainable options are also in the eye of nautical enthusiasts as they present less fuel consumption and better electrical efficiency. We will be able to see eight new trends in motorization, 3 of them with electric propulsion systems from Yamaha, Vetus and Bellmarine-Transfluid.
From all the motor boats that are new on the market, eight are competing for the European Powerboat of the Year award in different categories to become the best European yacht of the year. The candidates are: Pardo Endurance 60, Marex 330 Scandinavia, Sessa Key Largo 40, Solaris Power 44 Open, Swan Shadow, Parker 800 Cruiser, Ryck 280 and the Quicksilver 475 Axess.
Sailing boats lovers will see 19 new models and 7 will be competing for the European Boat of the Year. These are the Bénéteau Oceanis 34.1, Dufour 470, Hanse 460, Sun Odyssey 380, Jeanneau Yachts 60, Lagoon 55 and X-Yachts X 56.
The 59th edition of the Barcelona Boat Show is taking place now in the Fira de Barcelona at the Port Vell harbour with over 180 exhibitors with more than 500 boats.
