Swan Sardinia Challenge 2023

Now that the regatta is over, these were the results:

The Swan 42 boat "Nadir" of the Spanish owner and skipper Pedro Vaquer (CVPA), has won the competition.

The ClubSwan 36 class competition was very close, the winner was Richard Thompson's Black Seal (GGY).

In the last category, the ClubSwan 50, the victory went to Marcus Brennecke's Hatari (GER).

From the 16th to the 20th of May, an exciting competition will take place in the national park of Marina di Villasimius (Sardinia, Italy). The ClubSwan Racing regatta in which three one-design classes, ClubSwan 50, ClubSwan 42 and ClubSwan 36 one-design, are participating.

All those owners, crews and guests competing in the aforementioned classes enjoy such a regatta to the fullest because of the spectacular environment in which they sail.

"We were able to appreciate what a special place Villasimius is when ClubSwan Racing made its first visit here last year," said Federico Michetti, Head of Sporting Activities at ClubSwan Racing.

The Swan Sardinia Challenge is the second competition of The Nations League 2023 season. Currently, Italy holds a small lead after the inaugural event, the Swan Croatia Challenge, held in Split last month. Although many claim, it is now when the competition begins. In this regatta held in Italy, 28 teams are competing, representing nine different nations, the aforementioned Italy, Germany, Great Britain, among others.

"ClubSwan Racing has forged a great community spirit with fair and competitive racing," shares Vascotto, the Italian multiple world champion and America's Cup sailor. "It's a challenge I accept with enthusiasm, and it's a real pleasure to compete in such a talented fleet and in such a wonderful location."

10-14 October: SWAN ONE DESIGN WORLDS Tuscany (ITA) (CS50, CS36, CS42, S45)
