Taking place every two years, the Fastnet Race circles around the Fastnet Rock in the south of Ireland. This year, sailors will cross the English Channel towards Port Chantereyne, in France, meaning instead of the usual 608 nautical miles they will face 695 miles. The Rolex Fastnet Race is considered a challenging race, and unquestionably one of the greatest events in the international yachting calendar.
